Wildlife Conservation

Protect wildlife by understanding the systems species depend on: connected habitat, healthy land and water, responsible coexistence, sound monitoring, and legally authorized care.

Program direction

Habitat first. Coexistence always.

This program is being built for conservation and education at national scale. It does not imply that DBT currently holds wildlife permits, operates facilities, or manages wildlife projects.

Habitat

Protect and restore the places wildlife needs for shelter, food, movement, and reproduction.

Connectivity

Support corridors and connected landscapes that reduce fragmentation over time.

Coexistence

Reduce preventable conflict without treating people and wildlife as opposing sides.

Education

Help communities understand wildlife behavior, legal limits, and safer ways to respond.

No authority implied

Wildlife rescue, possession, transport, rehabilitation, release, research, and public display can require different permits and qualified people. DBT will publish activities only after the required authority, capacity, and records are verified.
